I’ve been active as an actor, director, teacher, and organizer for many years:

• 2010-2024: Theater DU (German Theatre Toronto) emerged from a German theatre course at UofT. Over the years, we staged following productions:

  • 2022: Der Struwwel, adapted from a gory children’s book by Heinrich Hoffmann

  • 2019: Der Komet, based on a pre-apocalyptical farce by August Wilhelm Iffland

  • 2016: Woyzeck, based on a fragment by Georg Büchner

  • 2016: Deutsch vom Fass, an anniversary production by Erol Boran

  • 2015: Hochwasser III, based on an absurd drama by Günther Grass

  • 2012: Drakul(j)a, a horror tale adapted by Erol Boran

  • 2010: Die Physiker, based on a grotesque play by Friedrich Dürrenmatt

• 2012: I played the lead role in the short film "Der Kandidat" (Josef Baraki, Humber Productions, 15 minutes)

• 2005-2006: I worked as an actor at the Jewish Theater of Thessaloniki.

• 1998-2004: I taught courses and directed theatre productions at various universities across the United States: UT Austin / Taos, NM / OSU.

• 1996-1999: I directed productions with my own theatre groups based in Würzburg: the English-language troupe Characters in Company (CiC) and the German comedy group Kurzform.

• 1993-1996: I performed as an actor with Unigeziefer and the English Drama Group at the University of Würzburg, Germany.
